I am not estranged from the majority of my family due to political differences, I am estranged from them because our opinions on rape, crime, insurrection, fraud etc don't seem to align. I refuse to interact with people whose behaviors indicate a lack of basic decency.

I think they are going to try and release materials where Trump's name has been scrubbed. The problem they have is that there are multiple copies of it all, and anything they withhold runs the risk of coming out from another source. I honestly think "don't talk much about it" is their only play.

The DoJ would have to state that they are investigating Trump for his involvement. Bonding already said there was nothing more to investigate, seems like that would negate the possibility of another investigations.
