I can't help but look at the new Chris Hemsworth film and say stupid stuff like 'Not getting caught? That's crime 101' or 'Not wearing fingerless gloves? That's crime 101'

Was involved in a conversation on Reddit of welders complaining they were just above minimum wage despite the training. And its hard not to agree with them

It's the floor. It's happening across all sectors. The floor has risen so quickly that all the wage growth goes there and everyone else is wondering why they bother with the extra stress for a few pence more

I put this on for the first time in ages a few weeks back. It's insane. Banger after banger. Just elite tier as an album.

I think Jonn Elledge has the best take on McSweeney. He tried to run a government like it was a CLP. With all the grudges and mischief making sitting alongside bigger stakes

Is this about Warner brothers?
February 9, 2026 at 10:41 AM

Reminds of that Gervais stand up, back in the day before he became quite so obviously awful, when he talks of the protest of setting themselves on fire. youtu.be/Kj_2isJQ7dg?... just not a threat anyone should take seriously and pretty awful to even suggest it

So is Gordon for or against giving dodgy financiers money for doing crimes? It's hard to tell
February 6, 2026 at 7:46 PM
Yeah good point. The patient has to be not terminal. I imagine a big pile of irretrievably bad litigation against you or deficits would be not great. BUT someone who was just bad with people? Amazing
February 6, 2026 at 2:24 PM
Away from politics. I don't mind making the unpopular decisions. My maxim is your first two years are cleaning up other people's mistakes. The next two years are making mistakes only other people can solve. Granted coming from HE other people's mistakes are usually solved by not being a cunt
