All we need to do now is... remove his head." Astarion shoots a look back, "Don't look at me." Karlach pipes in, "A swing or two from my axe should do it! Might get messy though." Meanwhile Rowan is already hacking away. The group stares at Rowan in silence as he carries Nere's removed head, covered in his blood. Rowan glares back, "What. Like it's hard?"

Unfortunately, as strong as the premise is to “A Little Like Waking”, I’m about 150 pages in and the books feels like it’s dragging. It’s not bad by any stretch. The pacing is the biggest issue.
