Seeing the unseen by
Laura Kurfurst

Beneath the surface,
Calm and still,
A storm moves silent, sharp,
And real.
The world may see a steady face
Not every war leaves its trace.
A body rebels in quiet ways,
With trembling nights and
Heavy days.

my former colleague wrote up a great summary of refutations to the common reasons to use GenAI / LLMs, and I have to say I agree with all of them.

even if certain aspects get addressed, like environmental impact by running local models, it still doesn't address any of the other issues.

The gods are not to be feared.
Death is nothing to worry about.
Good is easy to attain.
The fearful is easy to endure.

I like this part of “The bullet that missed by Richard Osman”

“It was best to grab everything while you could. Who knows when your final swim might come, your final walk, your final kiss.”
