18F outside with a much colder windchill. Figured if I was going to have cabin fever, I would just go out to the little cabin out back.

Weird sight. The pond was near empty due to the drought. It started to fill late Nov early Dec. then froze. We have had rain and snow. Lifted ice which also carried the white rock up about 6 feet from where it sat on the other rock

7 years ago I was having shock like pains in my chest in the evening. Was diagnosed as having a heart attack and rushed down to Portland. After they tried to put in stents the next day, they then stabilized me and and performed a quadruple bypass on the second day. 1/2

So many memories. So many smiles. Thank you is not enough. But memories will always remain. Wish a good journey. Bob Weir, Grateful Dead co-founder, has died at 78 - Rolling Stone

A little too icy to let the dogs run. But if you drop some cracked corn in the right place, the squirrels will keep a Toller entertained for hours

What a great teacher , and I like how one of his students that day followed him. www.bangordailynews.com/2026/01/05/h...
The world’s oldest known Twinkie turns 50 at a Maine high school
Five decades after science teacher Roger Bennatti began an impromptu experiment, the Twinkie remains at George Stevens Academy in its own glass case.

I admire the imagination and the "know-how" to design and perform these types of projects, Mix of science and art
Happy new year! My all sky camera imaged the sky every 15 seconds and this picture shows what happened in the sky in 2025. It shows the length of the night and day with the hourglass shape, the monthly lunar cycle with the diagonal bands, the elevation of the Sun at local noon, and lots of clouds.
