Funny how, only after Democrats in California, Virginia and Missouri took action to fight back and a few in his political party in Indiana demonstrated courage and leadership on this issue, that he discovered his voice. Leaders don't follow - they lead.

While I think you’re correct, it is also likely that 30% of our nations adults will never abandon him. Leaving us with the dilemma of how to deal with approximately 80 million devotees who believe felonies, rapes, pedophilia, corruption, murder and cruelty are acceptable behavior.

That's not achievable if people have to limit themselves to buying just 2 or 3 pencils per household.

Most of MAGA family members I know are noticing the problems and the disconnect, which is a start, but still want to blame "others' for the issues - from "they're not telling him what's really going on", whoever they are, to it's "the Democrats fault."

Regarding the redistricting wars - everyone forgets Utah. State court system in Utah overturned an existing map of 4 MAGA and 0 Dem seats, based on a lawsuit compelling state to follow Utah law and ordered a new map creating a Dem+24 seat out of Salt Lake City. Now it's 3 MAGA and 1 Dem seat.

It's my understanding, per ABC News, Chi Osse, a NYC council member, filed paperwork to run against him in the Democratic primary for 2026. It has yet to be determined if he will follow through with the primary, but someone he is considering it.

I'm amused how we (including me) use the term "new low" for MAGA. Felonies, sexual assaults, caging children, pedophilia, war crimes, sexual trafficking and the list goes on and on and on. There is no "new low." There is no bottom for MAGA. It's difficult to wrap our minds around that fact.

Merrick Garland showed GOP they had nothing to fear from a Dem. administration by being corrupt. As a result, they took corruption to a whole new level.

Donald Trump is no leader. He is a follower. He follows MAGA, MAGA does not follow him. He is the ugly face of too many Americans. The battle for empathy, decency, honesty, lawful behavior and the soul of our country will not end with his presidency, but I hope it will be the beginning of the end.

“Release what they are legally entitled to” That’s the key phrase. Nothing involving his name will be considered by him to be something they are legally entitled to receive.

MAGA has accepted and rallied around dishonesty, racism, corruption, graft, bribery, assault, sexual assault, and an endless litany of awful. It's just taking them a little more time than normal to accept pedophilia. However, I have faith, they ultimately will come to embrace it.

When did primary challenges become a bad thing? Personally I think they're good for democracy whether the challenge is from the left or right. Maybe one of the problems with our democracy is that primary challenges are discouraged and political leaders lose touch with their constituents.
