This painting has been a puzzle. I’ve wanted to abandon it, but it keeps pulling me back. I’m resisting the urge to unify the surface, letting abstraction, gesture, and a photographic interruption coexist. The unresolved tension and controlled chaos are the point, not a problem to solve.
