Ministry of Magic 🐦‍🔥

Part of the cabal of corrupt, evil epidemiologists trying to keep everyone alive.
Yup.
Standing by my prediction that RFK will amass the highest body count in the regime.

Musk will likely kill more, but he’s always been officially not a member of the regime, rather transparently a donor that got the policy goals he paid for.

She lasted what? Three weeks as a contrarian before bowing out?

Also I know her district. She would have been fine in the primary imo.

This guy so fundamentally doesn’t understand epidemiology it is physically painful from afar.

Please keep him away from the IARC monographs jfc.

This first part is actually what I wanted to put as my status message on Teams today.
VACCINES DO NOT CAUSE AUTISM, YOU FLAMING SHITBIRDS.

THE LAST TIME HHS, AS CURRENTLY OCCUPIED BY RFK JR., CONDUCTED A “COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT” OF THE CAUSES OF AUTISM THEY BLAMED TYLENOL AND THEN, BECAUSE IT WAS BULLSHIT, HAD TO WALK IT BACK.

There is a WSJ article today that’s quite fear mongering on ADHD medications for children, so I won’t link it. The infographic is a special level of horrible, and I seriously question WSJ’s analysis of Medicaid data given they don’t even mention the major limitations of the data.

So much rage at the office today, for obvious reasons.

Weaponization of the premier public health agency in the country for personal clout and gain. The CDC website should not be trusted given the fact that it is controlled by people who will profit from spurious and false attempts to link vaccines to autism.

This. I remember it. This was super long, long overdue.
Reminder to Harvard: the time to fire Larry Summers was when he publicly disparaged women's intellectual capabilities.

I’d say he’s acting like he’s on amphetamines, but we all know amphetamines suppress the appetite, and we have visual evidence that the McDonald’s has not stopped flowing.

This is why I report every HHS email that says this as phishing.
I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

There it is. 😟

(Disclaimer: I am not a flu person and I have very little insight into how testing is going at the state level.)

I know Bluesky was aware of this given who we are, but I’m just waiting for the “libertarian” (“paying attention to politics is lame”) gamer bros to belatedly realize this and freak out.

On it.

I didn’t get my pull-up during the shutdown but I’m now just one plate off, and almost up to benching my body weight.
Good morning.

This is your reminder to get to the gym so that you can beat up racists if you have to.

If you take the position that the government generally is set up to give handouts, would you rather your tax dollars go to impoverished folks or to billionaires who don’t pay their fair share in taxes and who have suppressed wages to the extent that handouts for impoverished folks are needed?
