Better Transport Queensland welcomes the opening of Pimpama Station on the Gold Coast Line this morning; the first new station to serve the Gold Coast since 2009. This milestone marks a significant step forward in the delivery of the Cross River Rail project.

Better Transport Queensland has welcomed the introduction of Sunday and public holiday service on the Doomben line commencing today, as well as the new counter-peak services on the Cleveland and Ferny Grove lines which commenced on May 19th.

Metro Bus M2 is now at 5 minute frequency! With M1 in testing - it seems that the Metro is in full swing.

What is your experience with the Metro so far?

I didn’t notice the queueing over the bridge how it usually is after 3 pm. Yet, I didn’t see any metro vehicles crossing the bridge either today despite the higher frequency.

Not sure I can agree with bicycles on GCLR. It’s often far too crowded. It’s also pretty slow, so you could probably ride your bike at around the same speed. Most of the route is rather flat, too.
