Salty about reinventing my social media presence multiple times and hoping this one sticks.
Wishing that MN funders, like MSAB, would note that conditions are not really conducive to getting work done right now and extend some deadlines....

Want to give something to your friends who are also colleagues but $ is low this time of year? Take a look at their "Skills" on their Linked In profile and see if you can endorse any of them (but only if you have experience with them on that, of course!) I just did, and it was very appreciated!

It’s the 11th of December. The 10th is the day my mom went into the hospital for the final time in 2006. It’s now been 1/3 of my life. Every Single Year I wonder why I suddenly feel so down right about now. Some things just get ingrained into the psyche.

As if I didn't have enough on my plate with 11/17 deadlines, GTTM Day, and Thanksgiving next week — oh year, I have to get eleventy-billion Paid Medical and Family Leave notices out! Don't be like me, folks!

I can't say this enough - if you're an organization writing a grant, stick to what you know you are doing. Don't think you need to embellish the proposal. Reading grants for panels I have been on lately is more playing "two truths and a lie" than ever before, and I'm tired of it.

One day you're all punk rock and the next you are digging through the "good dryer lint" to make firestarters (but still listening ot David Byrne while you do.)

My daughter's school has security guards at the door that most kids ignore. She knows all of them and can tell us in detail about their lives. Her school has a "You Belong" campaign right now and I think they are don't even notice things like this, but I am so proud of her.
