LeDeR data: 15% of learning disability bowel cancer deaths occurred under age 50.

Current screening starts at 54. Our research recommends starting at 45 for people with LD.

Researchers from the University of East London are conducting a piece of research to explore transgender men’s experiences of cervical smear testing in the NHS. If you are interested in sharing your story with them in an online interview, please email u2631772@uel.ac.uk
"SEEKING RESEARCH PARTICIPANTS Do you identify as a transgender man? Are you over 18 and living in the UK? Have you accessed cervical smear testing in the NHS at any stage of life? YOUR STORY COULD MAKE A DIFFERENCE. It I hoped that we can learn from your experiences to make cervical smear testing feel more comfortable and safe for transgender men. If you would like to share your experiences in an online interview, we invite you to contact the lead researcher, Uma Bartlett (She/Her), Trainee Clinical Psychologist, u2631772@uel.ac.uk You will be offered a gift voucher for your time and effort. This study has received ethical approval from the University of East London (Reference: 103)"
