Food for thought: If food waste were a country, it’d be the third largest greenhouse gas emitter on the planet.

Every year, the food we lose or toss out pumps out 4.4 gigatons of CO₂ equivalent — that’s nearly as much as every car, truck, and bus on the road worldwide.
