Little treats for your author are important! As a little birthday gift to myself I got this adorable tarot card blind box, hoping for The Star (the crow!). And lo, on the day of my birth, I was gifted this little guy by the universe.

It's my birthday tomorrow, and the only thing I really want is more reads and reviews of my books.

If you've read my work, but haven't reviewed it, even "it was great, 10/10" helps draw people to my books.

And here's my adorable cat, for tax.

I'm pleased to join Go Indie Now's Sean Hillman again this Sunday (12/14) at 12:00PM EST to talk about character development over the course of a series!

Who would have thought, two years ago, that I'd be where I am now?

Definitely not me.

But it's been an amazing journey and I'm only getting started.

Looking forward to getting my character cards!

I wish everyone understood the awful balance that indie authors try to achieve every day. We're supposed to write, but also market. Post social media content that's authentic, but also talk about our books, except not too much. It's a tightrope, and I hate it, but I'm still here. Cat for tax.

If you're looking for a middle grade urban/contemporary fantasy series, check out The Secret Wing by Tal Good! All four books are out.

Which one makes me immortal? I want that one. My rec for a fae story is "Down the Rabbit Hole: Liminal Spaces, Book 1" by @faerienuff.bsky.social . Shameless plug for an author in my coop but it's her debut and it's a delight. (Loosely) Inspired by Alice in Wonderland.

Fall is my favorite season and we've already passed out of it here in New England. The color of the leaves is so beautiful, I'm always a little sad as it gets duller and goes away. #AMoRaR
