sure, the world is going up in flames, there's unrest in the streets, and America has become a global punchline, but at least Trump voters made the handful of trans athletes in the country feel extra bad

Also, it's so stupid everyone is complaining about the #TikTok ban like it means they can't create or consume short form videos. Literally just use any of the other dozens of platforms available. (YouTube Shorts has long been my preferred alternative.)

That #TikTok is now banned is 100% on themselves. All they have to do is sell to an American company. The fact that they won't tell you everything you need to know about how important the Chinese government sees retaining control over the app and its ability to manipulate the algorithm.
