The risk of flooding is going up. But since launching its plan in 2020 government has lowered its target for the number of properties it will protect by 40%. It’s also cut 500 of the 2000 planned flood defence projects. Yet funding for the programme has doubled.

In 2019 government promised to ‘fix the crisis in social care’. We’ve found that adult social care reforms are behind schedule and over half the £1.7bn funding for reform has been reallocated elsewhere. DHSC needs to make a long-term funded plan. More in our report 👇🏻
