Fucking embarrassment. The gulf in quality is on display for all to see. Spurs have been abject. First half I thought it was mainly the players. Second half I’m absolutely saying Frank to blame as well. Just fucking woeful.

Frank set up exactly the right way. Our midfield has been fucking atrocious. Just making it as easy as humanly possible. Ridiculous. Capitulation in the worst way. We’re playing fucking ARSENAL act like you fucking care.

Vicario watches the flight of the ball literally the entire time and doesn’t even make an attempt to save it. The man is absolutely our weakest link. New keeper imperative.

I’m reposting this thread because I don’t want to keep reiterating the fact that we have had a scoring problem going into this season. You can’t have forwards that don’t score goals and expect to score a bunch of goals.
I want to talk about the goal gap Spurs face this season, because I keep seeing fans say:
“It doesn’t matter who we have up top if no one can get them the ball.”
That’s the popular argument but, IMO, it misses the bigger picture. 🧵

Said before the season started that I’m very concerned about how we score goals. That first half was everything I was worried about.
The second thing I’ve been saying is that our number one priority next summer needs to be a new keeper. Vicario is just not the one.

Worthy of the hype. It’s a good movie. It’s not a PERFECT movie like some have said, but it’s very good.

Villareal will almost certainly play very deep and counter, so I don’t see the need for Palhina, that being said I think Frank will be very mindful of the fact this is his first ever CL match and might be fine with a draw and we potentially see a pretty conservative XI.

Thought we had good control of that half all in all. A lot of crosses, would prefer to see a bit more on the ground. Think we need Richarlison to hold his back up to goal.

My guess is that Palhina starts over Xavi today.
I don't think we NEED Palhina for this game and when we brought him in this is exactly the type of game I didn't want him playing in, but I think he will anyway.
