I do feel kind of lucky I went to an overcrowded underfunded high school where there were too many kids for me to leave any kind of imprint whatsoever so I coasted for 4 years going unnoticed doodling in the back while some other kid fought the teacher up front

You got bullied at school and teachers got mad at you for doodling in class.
You have homework to do. You don't understand math or physics or chemistry because you can't concentrate in class at all. So instead you draw some sad dogs.
Life sucks, but at least you have your art.
