Lover of trivia, sci-fi and afternoon naps (cycling as well). Ex tech journo now deeply embedded in the corporate world. Don’t ask me to explain something if you’re short on time.
I can't help but ask if the 2 plane crashes in the US are just the result of "bad luck" or is air traffic management in the US really that fragile that in just a couple of weeks under Trump it's all falling apart.
It seems hard to believe that it's the latter.
If it is then that's terrifying.

Great to see Alan Hatherly at the sharp end of a race. Even better to see Q36.5 winning. Guess Pidcock made the right move.

Billionaires have more money than they could ever need but never enough to fill the holes in their souls. They would send every last one of you into an early grave if it meant paying one cent less in taxes.

It may seem like a crazy good investment, but it's really only between 7% and 8% a year. By comparison the FTSE 100 has delivered an annualised 8.6% return since 1984.
I still wouldn't say no if someone offered me £2 million for something I probably inherited.

The Proteas really know how to toy with my emotions.
Two big wins at the Cricket World Cup and then they lose to the Netherlands.
Now they’re on the brink of giving England a massive hiding.
When am I allowed to start believing that we might have a chance. 🇿🇦🏏🏆

Those who watch cycling to see really fit people suffer are in for a treat today.
Check out the profile for today's stage of the Tour of Türkiye.
That's 1,900m of climbing in 18.3km at an average of 10.39% at the end of the stage.
That's brutal in any language.

I'm sure someone is already working on this, but I'd love to know if AR/VR headsets like Apple's Vision Pro could replace the traditional eye test.
Given how Apple is using the Apple Watch for health applications why can't you pop on a headset, press go and get an eye test.

428/5 off 50 overs is a mammoth total.
World Cup record!
Not seeing Sri Lanka come close today.

So glad I switched over to the cricket to watch Aiden Markram put on a batting masterclass. 103 off 50 balls with 4 overs to go

I know they're not the same team they were back in the MTN/DD/NTT/Qhubeka days, but I still punch the air when a Q36.5 ProCycling rider takes a win.
Nicolò Parisini taking his first pro win in the CroRace today.
