It is always special to return to the South Osborne Legion for Remembrance Day. Standing alongside veterans, their families, and community members, I was honoured to lay a wreath and take a moment to reflect on the immense sacrifices made for our freedom. #LestWeForget

Thank you to École LaVérendrye for the invitation to take part in your Remembrance Day assembly. Hearing students read In Flanders Fields in both English and French, listening to the choir, and watching each class lay their wreaths was an important reminder of why we remember.

Yesterday we honoured Viola Desmond, a trailblazer for civil rights and a symbol of courage. Her image on Canada’s $10 bill, launched in 2018 at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights right here in Winnipeg, is a lasting reminder of her impact. #ViolaDesmondDay #CanadianMuseumForHumanRights

Happy Halloweekend! I was happy to contribute treats again this year to Rosedale’s annual Halloween Block Party! Over 300 kids came out to trick or treat and show off their costumes. I hope everyone had a safe and fun night.

Sports play such a big role in shaping our culture and identity. For me, the Toronto Blue Jays have always been an emotional link to my Dad. We watched a lot of games together.

It was a pleasure to host the German and Norwegian Defence Ministers in Ottawa. The global political landscape is shifting more intensely than any period since the Second World War.

Yesterday, I joined the Minister of Housing to announce $82.3 million in funding for Manitoba infrastructure. This flexible investment can be used for roads to recreation, supporting the projects that communities need to grow and thrive.

Incredibly grateful to see the release of hostages today. It marks a critically important step towards a more peaceful future in the Middle East - one I am increasingly hopefully can be realized.

In celebration of Women’s History Month, we proudly honor Betty Farrally and Gweneth Lloyd—two visionary women who transformed the Canadian arts scene by founding the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. From 1949 to 1957, they made their home at 164 Harrow St, right here in our riding.
