Has AI lowered your rent or mortgage, health insurance costs, student debt, raised your pay, respected your privacy/rights, increased more good jobs, lowered your internet bill, reduced excessive environment resource usage, enabled you to enjoy life more than ever before, or retire?

We should have less monopolies, more competition, and ultimately more affordable public communications infrastructure.

AI is denying healthcare claims, raising rent, stealing content, invading privacy, enabling cheating, destroying jobs, etc. It needs to be heavily regulated to protect consumers and the environment. It takes some people longer to realize...

So far AI has tried to double charge me rent, double charge me for internet service, double charge for insurance, and replaced countless customer service agents (humans that answer phone) with a robot you have to repeat yourself to 10 times just to not get any useful info. Anyone else?

It's crazy what people are outraged the most about... it's not the lack of affordable housing, people dying in medical/student debt, record homelessness, loss of rights/privacy, low wages, emergency teacher/doctor shortages, crumbling infrastructure, or no retirement.

I've been teaching #science for over 12 years. I have almost 400 students this semester. I'm proud to be a part of their education. These are future engineers, doctors, nurses, business, communications, and so many other people we need to function as a society. Support educators!

So now... attack drones are coming to our schools? Is this what they call a new tech company grift? Of course, there's a monthly fee. Just divert taxpayer dollars to these corporations, right? www.cbsnews.com/colorado/new...

Everyone should contact House/Senate representatives & tell them you don't want AI violating your rights/privacy, stealing your content, taking your jobs, denying your healthcare, driving up insurance and rent rates, wrongfully suspending your social media accounts. AI needs expert regulation.

Every major natural disaster is a reminder for us to adequately fund expert science, preparedness, warning methods, and response. I was just teaching this to students a few weeks ago. We use science to estimate tsunami arrival times. #tsunami info: www.tsunami.gov

So many people have no basic education on world history, human rights, or ethics. This is disgusting.
NEW: Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s lawyers seek permission to file an amended complaint in his civil case in Maryland.

Among other things, the amended complaint “includes Abrego Garcia's first-hand account of torture and mistreatment at CECOT…”

This is so disgusting for a country to do to its own public servants. We need universal healthcare now. DOGE was failure/fraud - it just fired a whole bunch of good people, terminated critical programs, broke laws, invaded privacy, and damaged our overall economy.

Instagram/Facebook banned all my accounts, including business. It seems like a massive AI error happened to lots of others this week. I've lost 15 years of stuff, family/friend contacts, pics/vids, and business content. Outrageous/mentally draining, Meta... Fix this asap!

Seems like a lot of people don't know what they're doing. Probably not good.

No affordable housing/rent anywhere. Record homelessness. People dying in medical/student debt. Low wages. Most Americans living pay-paycheck. Price gouging. Crumbling infrastructure. No hope for retirement. No mental health. Destroying education, science, & medicine. Priorities?

Alex Jones is an actor. Also not very good at investigating anything. Zero credibility.

AI is making life a living hell. It has tried to double bill me, blast misinformation I have to constantly correct, it's trying to take over our business websites/accounts, generating fake photos, videos, descriptions, all of which I have to manually correct/waste time calling companies to fix.

If any significant figure in the DNC thinks this pile of garbage is an ally... I'm so done with them. This guy has ruined millions of lives, globally, and has caused untold lasting damages in US education, healthcare, science, consumer protections, etc. Pathetic.
June 5, 2025 at 12:48 PM
Many of you have no idea of the struggle/fight going on behind the scenes in science, consumer protection, healthcare, and education. Underpaid, understaffed, constantly attacked, de-funded, etc. Without protection, education, science, healthcare, you don't have a quality life.

Stand back and stand by. I might wallow in the warm sector sometime Mon/Tue in KS. I need a break from work anyways.

Besides teaching & science, I run several businesses. It keeps me busy! If you are ever in Orlando stop by one of our restaurants. We own/operate them. Support local family small businesses. El Potro Mexican Restaurants - Apopka, Conway, Winter Park, Kirkman. Website: orlandoelpotro.com

Anyone who has actually worked with FEMA knows it serves a critical role before, during, and after disasters. It could use improvement, but that means improving it. Why erase it without providing a better replacement? Americans will suffer because of dumb decisions that only benefit billionaires.
