Transparent textures usually have bad values in the RGB of the transparent pixels, causing visual artifacts on lower mips. Wrote a little tool to pad PNGs with transparency to TGA with alpha. Code, .exe and explaination here:

@w4games.com More bugs to squash on your awesome build platform: When you add a build profile to a matrix, after you save there's no way to see what profile you picked. "Compile profile" in the matrix header just says "has been selected" instead of showing the build profile name. #godotengine

I love how Linux tells me beforehand how much extra disk an update will use or -- please sit for this -- how much will be freed. That's right: #Linux often gives you space BACK after an update. You might ask Linux, "Is this magic?" Linux will say, "dpkg -l | grep grep." Linux weird. Linux good. 🤖

Constant vulkan compiling with shader editing in Godot 4 vs 3 is nuts. 3 and opengl was instant recompile on same potato device (Intel integrated). Now 30 secs wait every edit. My solution: type 'stop' on last line to logjam the auto compiler, make all edits in one go, revoke 'stop'. #GodotEngine

I don't understand anisotropic texture filtering in Godot 4. In Godot 3 it works as expected: looking at a texture front on, anisotropic filtering does nothing because it only kicks in at oblique angles. But in 4, it straight-up blurs the image no matter the angle. #godotengine #godot #gamedev

@w4games.com build failed, "Invalid value for option target: editor. Valid values are: ('debug', 'release_debug', 'release')" -- presumably because I'm building for 3.x but it's using 4.0's different new 'target=' values. Tried using all my old scons flags but being overridden by other selections?

I keep getting followed by strange accounts that I think are bots. Usually they'll have an AI profile pic & banner, with a plausible but strange name, like "Bowser's Awesome Games", have 0 posts but repost a ton of random stuff based on keywords, and the bio usually lists those keywords.

Spot a bot and BLOCK! Don't blindly refollow: check the profile for signs:
1. High repost-to-reply ratio, e.g. all reposts, one or two replies that add nothing to the conversation.
2. High following count (1K and up)
3. Hyphenated name, AI profile pic, generic desc

Changed account name to be more permanent. Didn't think I'd stick around back when bsky was the awkward emo kid at the party in the corner avoiding eye contact. Turns out we all did. Now I'm the one awkwardly stuck with a weird handle. New handle also weird, but discoverable on YT and Github.
