I sincerely hope that someday someone will want to call me their girlfriend. Nothing feels like more of a fucking gut punch to be referred to as just “a friend” by everyone you’re sleeping with.

Told my parents what surgery I was getting next month and my father referred to an orchiectomy as “taking out the trash.” This is what I will refer to it as from now on.
