my takeaway from reading this is that i have to assume that every half-competent intelligence agency in the world has an almost real-time glimpse into what the white house and the pentagon are doing

Grew up in the 60's, 70's. Colored lights on the 🌲 were a must have trend for the family Christmas 🌲. Alas those days might be gone. The new colored LED lights are awful & look wrong on the 🌲. The tone is way too cool on every color. To an artist the difference is quite glaring.
