I had a leak in bed this morning, thankfully my moons contained it so no mess was made but now I’m anxious about going to bed. I wonder if this leak/stoma related anxiety will lessen since I’m still a new ostomate? It sucks. I wish I wouldn’t panic so much.

I had such a shit week last week. Everything that could’ve gone wrong did go wrong. I had my lead nurse phone me up to give me a row too. Awful. Just want a better one this week.

This!! My dad has been offered a third Ablation on his heart, which has a 95% survival rate. That's great, but he also has heart and lung failure, Chrohn's Disease, and Diabetes - so it's not that simple and a much bigger choice.
I think it’s important to remember that in medical settings, you still have your autonomy. Yes, nine times out of 10 any procedure a doctor suggests is something pertinent to whatever condition you may have, but you still know your body better than anyone and maintaining power over that is vital.

I’m home. Couldn’t do the liver biopsy due to the condition of my skin around the site and the pain it’d cause so I have to try and treat the skin first and then have another go.

When I was first able to sit cross legged after being hoisted into bed from the chair in hospital, I cried because it was the first time I felt “normal” after everything I’d been through. Now, any time I cross my legs at home I feel this sense of euphoria. It’s so bizarre but I love it.

I walked from the car down my garden steps and into my house earlier instead of being pushed in a wheelchair the long way around and even though I’m very proud of myself for doing it, it’s completely destroyed me lol I am knackered.
