Allman Brothers 1975 at the Savannah Civic Center in Savannah, GA. I was 13 at the time & instigated the entire incident, likely after seeing an ad in the paper. We were in town visiting our maternal grandparents. The only concert I attended with all my siblings. I also kept my ticket stub.

Pretty sure this was my last time seeing Bob Weir (or any of the other surviving members of the Grateful Dead for that matter). The Dead was the only other post-Grateful Dead incarnation I saw of the band besides The Other Ones. A friend offered me a free ticket to see Dead & Co. once but I passed.

Among the first 5 albums I owned as a kid in the 70s. Seminal, foundational, formative. I never tire of it & still listen to it at ear blistering volume.

I strongly disagree. Though I’m in a different headspace now, back in 2023 when my world was unraveling, I found solace in sad songs. So much so, I’m fully convinced they helped pull me through.
