Day 11 advent. Time for another Cold Bear Report. Having the Pop on Hops NEIPA with QC Hydra, Peacharine, Motueka & Motueka Hop Kief. Grapefruit, subtle peach, lime and full bodied flavour. Bright and lime finish makes this a smooth ride. I think my fav IPA from them #craftbeer

This is the advent Calendar that keeps on giving. Day 10 Blood Brothers Brewing, Days Eye IPA. Mango, grapefruit and subtle peach, piney but juicy. A very good IPA from a great brewery. One to try #craftbeer

Late day 8 of my Advent Calendar Beer today. New brewery for me with Brasserie Bad Bones. This double IPA is JUICY, grapefruit, subtle peach & a citrus blast, but some dank hops balances those fruit flavours. Very impressed. I will keep my eye out for these folks! #craftbeer

The perfect dessert beer? Does it exist. Yes and you might have to add an S to the word beer thanks to @ThirdMoonBeer Bestowed series. Oreo cookie, rich milk chocolate brownie, smooth mouth feel & sweetness is cut by an almost rum like booziness. Incredible, magic #craftbeer

Soft spot for Third Moon Brewery, Bone tree and dank IPAs. The DDH Halloween 2025 version of the Bone Tree checks all the boxes. Dank, grapefruit, pine, creamy mouthfeel and a dry finish. Never a bad play to grab any variation of bone tree! That dark forest is bountiful #craftbeer

Friday. 5th day of Advent Calendar and it's a familiar brewery from up north! @46northbeer . Moo-town NEIPA. Pinneapple, dank creamy and hazy. This one is a winner in an Advent calendar or on a warm summer day (I miss those). 6.8% abv. Delicious #craftbeer

On the 4th day of Xmas, I gave to me (it was my day on the Advent). My contribution? Coffee Death Dealer Porter @ThirdMoonBeer

Rich, subtle dark chocolate, roasty and smooth. An anytime of the day kind of beer. 6.9% ABV #craftbeer

Well I got me a bit of a Beer legend today

Canning date is a bit older though. I'm gonna make it a mission to try this fresh. This one is smooth, grapefruit and pine. But descriptions say there are more layers.

I'll file this under to be determined, but even aged this is solid #craftbeer

No regrets. Only my 2nd @willibaldfarm brew but my f1st Advent calendar brew in 2025. Very interesting brew. Dank up front, followed by a resinous profile that is highlighted by orange and stone fruit. Hazy in the glass, creamy & 8.4% to boot. These Advent guys mean business #craftbeer

Hoppy with notes of apricot. Smooth but strong. That's the just of Burdock Brewings own Double Ducks IIPA. Apricot isn't something I've tasted much in an IPA but that's the flavour I get here. 8% ABV, I'd have a couple of these #craftbeer

Does Winnipeg have a king of IPAs?! Is it @kilterbrewing.bsky.social ?

YEP!!!!

This Final Phantasy Double IPA hits some serious melon notes, with a full juicy mouth feel, hoppy and very distinctly dank. 8% ABV

These guys know how to brew! Keep em coming. Cloud level! #craftbeer

Third Moon! This is not a beer. You canned a root beer float. You "CLAIM" it contains 5% ABV. You want me to think this is a Root Beer Vanilla ice cream "sour ale". You added a subtle amount of sour flavour, then canned it. I am on to you! What a crazy unique brew this is. Just cool #craftbeer

A St Bernardus & Weihenstephan Helles collab? Hard to pass that up at the LCBO. Hoppier than most Helles but it's used to cut the sweet bread, cereal flavors. Crushable, subtle floral notes & only 6%. Bread on the nose, light gold colored. Bonne biere! #craftbeer

Muel Fuel, not really sure what a muel is but it's fuel is quite delicious. The fine folks at Wood Bros Brewing do it again with this uniquely named IPA. Creamy, peachy, citrus, dank and quite juicy on the palate.

Consider this Muel, fueled

Double Double Sunday. 2 ON DIPAs which are 👌

@OrleansBrewing Sid's Vicious IIPA. A strong piney but juicy IPA that is strong but well balanced

And

@GreatLakesBeer Double Octo. Grapefruit, pine and sweet but balanced, sneaky strong

2 #craftbeer worth the price for admission

Another Canadian City (Edmonton) gets the seal of beer approval for the Covered Mountains Project. Irrational Brewery finds a spot in large part due to the pink Guava and Red Prickly pear Sour I had during my visit.

Time to shout out a Peterborough brewery and ad some green space to the Covered Mountains Project

The beers that put them here are

Foundation (farm house ale)
Snapper (NEIPA)

A brewery to stop in on when heading down the 7! Cool spot too #craftbeer

The beer battle you've all been waiting for (probably not)

King of the Pumpkin patch 2025.

First contender
@GahanBeer
Pumpkin Ale. Subtle cinnamon, pumpkin up front, crushable, clove on the back end. Heavy on the clove for the finish. Not bad

Listen, it wasn't planned. I am not gonna get DRAMATIC but I'm very HAPPY that I stopped at this brewery. I got a Drama Free IPA at Happy Brewery & was left quite impressed. A beautifully balanced #craftbeer with notes of hoppy pine, melon, citrus with a smooth mouth feel.

In Moncton for a function, so a flight seemed right at Tide and Boar brewing

The flight:
Sour Otis Raspberry Dole Whip
Herbies Oat Stout
Drown in the Juice IPA
Millions of Peaches Sour

The Otis stole the show, but all were quite solid. #craftbeer

If a plaid covered bird doesn't get ya, the flavours of Tahi, Orleans Brewing Co's New Zealand IPA certainly will. Notes of lime, tropical fruit, subtly tart, grapefruit and hops. This might be my fav IPA from these folks. Unique and well executed #craftbeer
