I hate cryptic social-media announcements for bar openings.

“The heart of Newcastle”, which in marketing terms could mean anywhere between Felling and Alnwick

So if you fancy working somewhere in an NE postcode, feel free to send them a CV with none of your details on it and see how they like it

The Orange Spunk trumpet has promised not to use military force to take Greenland , we could all breathe a sigh of relief if he wasn't a compulsive liar who changes his mind every couple of hours.

... Anyway - Beers lush

According to The Chronic - The Grainger Tavern has reopened
The Grainger Tavern - AKA Butlers has closed only a few months after it's refurb and rebrand.

I knew that if they disturbed the hallowed/cursed home of The Charnel House nothing but bad luck would befall the venue.

Some pubs in the North East are now taking a stance on AI and won’t share or display any artwork featuring generative AI (including brewery pump clips).

Country & Coyote is due to open in January and promises to be “ #Newcastle’s first Coyote bar”

I’ve no idea what that means, other than maybe Simien Jackals will have to take their business elsewhere

Thanks to cryptic social media posts, I have no idea where it is, or how I can avoid it

Newcastle - The Bodega

It's an oldie but a goodie, flew the flag for Ale during the 'Dark Days' of the early 00s.
Still guaranteed a good pint in a stunning ( though a little shabby) interior.

Finally, after 19 years, I've grown accustomed to the refurbishment

Newcastle - The Town Wall
First pub of the year.
I haven't been here in over a decade, and I don't know why.
It's lovely inside, the beers are canny and the food looks good.
