Honorable mentions go to these two games. I love my silly point and click adventures. The Dig often made me feel like I was playing through a movie with its incredible music and atmosphere. Beyond the Edge of Owlsgard went "What if Sierra games didn't suck and also you played as furries?".

I wanted to make some brief posts about the games I played this year and specifically, the ones that stood out to me in a big way. It might be a bit biased, because most of them gifts from my partner and a long time friend. But still :p

Oh my god, can my family leave me the hell alone?? I am so fucking achy after having to go out and get some things this morning, then having to help my stepmother with another one of her insane cleaning ideas. Now my dad decided I should go out and get some tobacco and cigarettes for them.

I think real time (with pause) remains my favourite combat system in RPGs. Turn based systems are just too difficult for me 😭

There! I finished Vampyr. It's a decently enjoyable game, though you can definitely tell the devs needed more time and money. The combat was pretty janky. And the romance between Jonathan and Ashbury was super rushed. The music and atmosphere were pretty good at least!

I've reached my limit for the year. I'm tired physically and mentally. I'm tired of always having to do Something. Christmas is supposed to be a good time, but instead I'm sitting here dreading all the cooking and travelling we're going to have to do.
