Answering the question: Will skiing, running, and baking solve my general, and at times, very specific anxiety? Because working did not help. Will report back.
This was the best we could hope for as mariners fans.

When did people start saying “out of pocket” for something crazy? I thought out of pocket was just something from expense reports.

There is so much about this photo that I love. The vacant expression. The victorious flipper raised in the air. But for me? For me, it’s the little feet.

Song is good! The punk kids are alright.
Ok here’s the cool little punk band I saw open for Superchunk the other night. TeeVee Repairmann is the name,

I may be older than their combined ages. Totally life affirming.

How do people figure out they’re good at this?
No brush, no pencil. Just a typewriter.

Artist James, using a 1930s Smith Premier typewriter, typed out this painting.

This is a nightmare. A fucking nightmare.
“Jimenez Rosa, a legal permanent resident and mother of four U.S. citizens, was detained over what her lawyer believes was a decades-old, personal-use marijuana charge, which is no longer a crime in Massachusetts today… “I was just like, ‘Girls, we might never see your mother again in this country’”
ICE released this Mass. mom with no phone, 30 miles from home in the rain after detainment for a sealed marijuana conviction
Federal authorities refused to tell the Canton woman's husband or lawyer on what grounds she was being detained until shortly before her release.

The trusted publication reporting this news just lost its funding but I’m so glad we finally get a ballroom in the people’s house.
npr.org NPR @npr.org · Jul 31
After at least 15 years of talking about it, President Trump is building a ballroom at the White House. Work will begin this coming September, with a price tag of $200 million, the White House says.

Maybe lonely boys need to try “opposite George” to get laid. Thinking of buying a cybertruck? Try voting for reproductive rights instead. Want to press play on the latest Rogan? How about asking a cute girl for coffee and speaking to her.

Here’s the issue with the liberal establishment. They only move right. They sell out the left to pick up centrist voters who don’t give a shit about progressive policy. A liberal cohort that actually includes the left would be much stronger than this spineless bullshit.

I like doing the wave at baseball games. All those humans just organically choosing to do something together. It’s nice.

Seems like a weird thing to need to say, but your body - even if you’re a minor - belongs to you.

Hi folks, a friend at NWIRP just sent this to me: there are potential ICE raids (with potential military presence) planned for Washington State, with a focus on Seattle and neighboring cities starting today.

Tough look for Expedia. My guess is this is incompetence and not anti-dei. They prob laid off the person who managed this contract. Either way, not great in your home town.

I had Covid earlier this month. I got the booster in Nov. I’m healthy, active, etc. This recent infection was far worse than my only other Covid stint in May 2022. I’m just getting my energy back. Get those boosters folks. It still sucks.
