Those dark events took place in real Sussex locations close to Pevensey, impacting powerless people at a time of immense change. One day we might find and archaeological trace of it, and the Norman invasion fleet, but until then we have this wonderful, vivid, multicolor record of the events of 1066.

Visited as part of our Swansea weekend in 2023, this is such an important survival of our seaside heritage. Very much hope to see plans for its repair being supported by Cadw and others.

Sad news that the Big Apple, Mumbles has been damaged by a car. A rare survival of a 1930s Cidatone kiosk of reinforced concrete, converted to an ice-cream kiosk. It's not the first time - the 2019 listing specified it was Ford Fiesta last time 😉 Hopefully support will be available to fully restore!

Opened 1976, Theatr Clwyd was designed by Flintshire County Architect RW Harvey. Grade II as an important post war civic arts and theatre complex, extensive work is now underway, radically altering the original form

I still bang on about my time at HISAR department, Matt, so much that my daughter was planning to study there too. I feel so sad.
First we saw Lampeter gutted & now the humanities at Cardiff. The Archaeology department was my undergrad Alma Mater & I've always been so proud of that and every opportunity they gave me. Solidarity with them & their colleagues as they face what's coming from above.
Senseless, souless, vandalism

I'm very much afraid that the first of the really big explosions is about to drop in Higher Education: at Cardiff University, where management speak of an 'immediate existential crisis'. And this is just the start. Solidarity with and to all colleagues at Cardiff. nation.cymru/news/huge-jo...

⚠️Wolverhampton School of Art is under threat!

Designed 1966-70, the nine-storey block has been earmarked for potential demolition by Wolverhampton University.
C20 has submitted a listing application, and local campaigners have started a petition to save it.

Definitely here for the triplets and dotted crotchets…
More interesting than the whole Blue Monday bullshit (which isn’t saying much) is my rambling analysis of the drum machine break in the New Order song and the difference between triplets and dotted crotchets
