Selected species of Dimetrodon.

Here are various sketches showing some species of Dimetrodon, which was a quite diverse genus during the Early Permian. The genus includes about a dozen of species

New material of Ajkaceratops cements its identity as a ceratopsian, but adds a new wrinkle. It turns out that many european ornithischians previously classified as iguanodontians may actually be ceratopsians! New paper by @tweetisaurus.bsky.social et al., that I provided art for (link in reply).

It is interesting, though, how ammonoids were able to recover so fully after the Great Dying, unlike after K-Pg. The fossil record shows a sharp rebound in the Early Triassic. (1/3 🧵)

I see a new YouTube video on dinosaur hybridisation (www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzEv...) that really, really looks inspired by this Tet Zoo article... tetzoo.com/blog/2025/9/... If I'm right... hey, YouTubers, please credit your influences, it's not fair to make out that this stuff is original to you!
