Lots of work at la casa this week. Front/back doors replaced, counter template taken, more cabinet and trim work being done, electrical outlets/switches in place, and recessed lights in place and working. Next Monday counter gets delivered/installed and appliances delivered/installed on Thursday.

Tile work almost done. Monday will finish up the last small area as well as grouting.

Past two days they leveled and prepped the floor for tiling which starts tomorrow.

Week 4 and the drywall is up. Skimming on Monday and sanding on Tuesday. And the floor work starts next week too supposedly.

Well, that was a nice chuck of $ for the new kitchen appliances. Fortunately we were able to make the purchases during the Memorial Day sales and prior to any tariffs kicking in.

Week 32 of 52 of Invisalign (weekly change)
Week 18 post ACL replacement (down to 1 per week starting this week)
Week 2 of kitchen renovation (only 2-3 days behind schedule)
Still in good spirits about everything.

Tomatoes, shards, lettuce, spinach, kale, onions, radishes, carrots, cabbage, pinto beans black and green beans, bell peppers, jalapeños, habanero, Thai peppers, potatoes, and hopefully corn if it comes up.

End of day 5. Ceiling and part of the floor need to be removed then the build out can start. Plumbing, electric, and framing next week.

Day one they put up dust barriers, drained the radiator system and disconnected two radiators, and pulled down the trim. Tomorrow they will do more demolition.

Current multi-purpose room and soon to become new kitchen. Again demo/remodel starts tomorrow morning. Make shift kitchen in the dining room for 2 months (hopefully not more).

Current and soon to be old kitchen! Demolition/remodel starts tomorrow. This room will become a half bath, pantry, and mudroom.

Just a factoid and a somber one at that. I have known more people who have died from brain cancer than any other type of cancer. Sadly the number will be going up in the near future and will lose another friend. The ones we hear the most about are Lung, skin, and breast.

Darryl’s garden is coming along nicely. Still waiting on some things to break ground, but he’s already harvesting lettuce, spinach, and green onions.

If anyone thinks they won’t be affected, they are self delusional or part of the 1%. That being said, even the 1% is at risk lest they say something wrong. I can only hope the military and police use common sense in the days that follow, but alas that is likely too hopeful.

#progress After my first PT last Wednesday my knee bend was 82 degrees. After today’s PT, it was 105 degrees. Can’t complain too much. Just going to keep on doing my home PT and going back to the pros every Monday and Wednesday. Feeling grateful!
