The amount of people who didn’t play Astro Bot salty it won GotY is wild. Astro Bot is one of the most fun, inventive, and beautiful games of the year, but shows that the market is open & welcome to innovations in old spaces & different genres outside of the hyperfocus on soulslike / action games

Just saw Venom: The Last Dance. There were some fascinating choices made for the supposed finale of the trilogy. In Memoriam montage was not on my bingo card. Lol

The game awards allowing DLC to be considered GotY is wild. Shadow of the Erdtree is great, but just include it in the ongoing games category like Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty was last year.
