Holding both allows us to resist shame, honor bodily autonomy, and defend the right to choose what supports our wellness. We must make room for all paths to care — because our liberation depends on it.

It also matters to remember that pharmacology is rooted in botany — in plants, land, and Indigenous knowledge from across the world. Science and spirit have always been connected.

In a moment when our bodies and minds are under constant political stress — from state violence to medical racism to shrinking access to care — healing cannot be one-size-fits-all.

We have to hold multiple truths at once. Pharmaceutical companies have not always been allies to our communities.

Accountability isn’t about punishment — it’s about acknowledging where we are, and choosing what we want to honor moving forward.

This year, we’re encouraging honest reflection.

As we move into a new year, this is an invitation to pause and check in with ourselves.

Are our actions aligned with the care, boundaries, rest, and connection we say we value?

As we welcome 2026, we invite you to slow down and listen inward. Check out our Healing in the Present grounding journal prompts.

What is your body communicating to you right now?

What emotions are you carrying into the new year that deserve attention, tenderness, or release?

Give yourself permission to look back with compassion, not criticism, and notice what your body and spirit are asking for as you move into a new season.

Feel free to share a response in the comments! Our community has the power to heal!

As we close out the year, our Rooted in Care series invites you to pause and reflect.

These journal prompts are a space to explore the moments you honored yourself — and the moments you avoided your own care. Both hold wisdom.

This is your reminder: isolation is not the answer—connection is.

In a world that pushes us to cope alone, community is a radical intervention.

Use our Community Care Plan to map your people, name your support, and build care on purpose.

Collective healing is how we survive this moment.

Your generosity helps parents rest, recover, and show up for their families—especially during a season when resources are stretched thin. Let us not forget that money is a mental health intervention.
Thank you for helping us weave collective care into the holidays.
