Most teachers in the public school system in the US have lived this.
We are ruining generations with this "teaching to the test" mentality.

There’s a lot of studies that show “teaching to the test” curriculum stamps out curiosity. When your teacher responds, “that won’t be on the test” your brain starts to process any info you weren’t spoonfed as inconsequential. The GOP LOVES mandatory standardized tests.
