Aye and RvdM's HBS affilitation is a bit hypothetical at this point tbh.

Couple of changes for the Dutch squad that heads to Scotland for the next leg of #CWCL2, most notably a call up for VRA's left arm quick Ben Fletcher, who replaces Klaassen. Recall for the veteran Wes Barresi too, in for de Leede.
So barring ZLC it's a 100% Topklasse squad...

worth making a mental note that cricinfo just uncritically tweeted this statement.

Intriguingly, the Canadian press is describing Star 333 Sports, sponsor of the promised "Canada Super 60," as a UK-based company.
Back when they were backing the Scottish Super 10 (that never happened) they were US-based.
Fairly sure it's still Abhishek Shah. Guess he moved?

Have to say it was a bit disappointing to see only a single-camera silent stream for Afghanistan WXI vs CWB XI today given the significance. Okay cameras aren't cheap but how hard is it to wire up a mic for comms?
There's a story to be told and surely plenty willing to tell it?

Bit of out-of-season Dutch domestic news for you all, Topklasse will be going back to 8 teams from 2026. So potentially three teams relegated to the Hoofdklasse at the end of next season.
HK itself apparently also contracting, so could be a lot of relegation happening there too.

Missed this over the festive period.
Cricket Canada cuit ties with Gurmeet Singh's Bombay Sports. Reasonable to surmise this likely means the end of the Canadian Global T20 League.

Consistent positive noises regarding the long-mooted European T20 Franchise collaboration between Ireland, Netherlands and Scotland growing ever louder. We now have an ICC sign-off, a new name* and a putative window - July 15 - August 3rd next year.
*the extremely dull "European T20 Premier League"

It is official now incidentally, they're off to Nepal next month for a WT20I tri-series along with Thailand.

More reportable news out of the KNCB meet:

Oh also I did get a free copy of a cricket-themed dice game that he came up with at one point. It was mildly diverting.

I don't know him well, but interim CEO-ing is a bit of a specialty of his I gather. All it really means is (speculation disclaimer goes here) that they're presumably not expecting Visser back any time soon.

Well well.
