It's mind boggling that the scope of the new classroom complexity teaching positions in Saskatchewan is so narrow that we're still seeing cuts to positions like band teachers and no restoration of teacher librarians or EAL teachers. Whoever is making decisions has completely missed the plot.

My cousin is a dairy farmer in Ontario, where strict Canadian standards prioritize animal welfare and limit certain milk quality indicators. Unlike the U.S., Canada bans artificial growth hormones, and milk is tested daily to ensure quality.

Hard to blame "Ottawa's attacks on the oil industry" for the hardship many Albertans experience: Alta oil production (& profits!) are the highest ever. Jobs, wages & living standards are shrinking there cuz of home-grown problems. My take for @thestar.com: www.thestar.com/business/opi...
Jim Stanford: Let’s drop the phoney Alberta versus Canada nonsense. The province has met the enemy — and it is them
Alberta’s economy produces more GDP per worker than any other. But the average Albertan’s standard of living is lower than a decade ago.

Most of those costs were associated with his role as official opposition leader.
Spending associated with his continency office and role as an MP was amongst the lowest in Canada, at nearly $241,000.
