Checking out my images in Lightroom and I've discovered an interesting quirk of this new lens... at 24mm, the image circle of the lens DOESN'T cover the whole of the sensor.
So, I recently picked up the Samyang AF 24-60mm f2.8 Schneider lens and it's so new there aren't any Lightroom lens profile corrections for it yet.

Well, that's handy! Because I purchased a new HP laptop a little while ago, I was given a code to get the 1TB Adobe Photography Plan for 12 months for free.
Which is useful because Adobe reminded me that the price of my old place was going up from £9.98 to £14.99. Saved a bit of money there!

It's been over 3 months now, but I finally got the test roll of film I shot in this beautiful little camera developed! And the good news is, it appears to work like a treat! No noticeable light leaks from what I can see and the light meter appears to be accurate.
Home now and given the Ricoh a bit of a clean. The light seals appear to be function, but will probably need replacing in the near future. That broken bit of plastic was actually grips for adjusting the shutter speed (there are two). It broke when I tried to tighten the screw.

Posted off 4 more rolls of film for developing. I now only have 5 rolls left of my backlog to get developed. When I get those done, I will definitely take a look at developing my own with some junk/practice rolls to save me the pennies!

Watched a video on that Caira camera this morning. Needless to say, having to alter images in real time with AI will allow deep fakes to become the norm in photography. You won’t be able to trust what you see in the future when it comes to digital images.
