This season usually features sentiments like: Peace on Earth, and Goodwill to Men (people). It feels it’s more rhetoric than a real sentiment right now.
So, I’ll post this wish to all in an effort to promote the spirit of the season: May all your days be merry and bright! And Happy New Year to all!

I think that expectations are best avoided. If met we get what we expected and are at best satisfied. At worst unmet expectations become frustration, anger, and resentment. Maybe hoping and aspiring are better…
