If you aren't familiar with what DARVO is, get familiar with it. "Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender." The govt is relying on DARVO as a tactic on a national scale, and it is also increasingly a conservative tactic to attack outspoken critics of their ideas, theories, & renderings of history.

My advice to trainees is focus on the science and let those of us in more priveledged positions fight for their ability to have the careers we've had. My advice for colleagues is to STOP BEING SILENT AND DOING NOTHING - FIGHT BACK IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY. Sadly most are just keeping thir heads down.

The danger of this moment cannot be overstated. Trump/Noem's vile defense of the killing shows that the heavily-armed government agents roaming our cities are unbound/unaccountable even when they kill Americans.

On the pod, @felipedlh.bsky.social and I dig into this:

Trump’s ICE Agents Killed a Citizen. Then Damning New Details Emerged.
As the ICE shooting horror in Minneapolis gets worse, a writer who focuses on ICE accountability explains why the government’s cover story is full of holes—and what recourse we have now.

I talked to a white guy last night who just got an NSF grant while a few Black women colleagues had their grants cancelled -- labeled "DEI". Basically he's like, it sucks and I feel guilty, but I still want to do my work and support my grad students...
Sometimes I wonder about how the White folks process still having their jobs. I've been reading a lot about McCarthyism, which has my brain primed to think about the people who stay once people politically repress their colleague out of a job.

As long as NYT is asking “Did women ruin the workplace” can they also ask:
•Did men ruin safe workplaces?
•Did men ruin domestic safety?
•Did men ruin public safety?
•Did men ruin global peace?
Or is a clear “YES” to all these questions just too difficult for fragile men to accept—so NYT avoids it?🤔
