We'll keep our 'Kirby wrapped' post brief. There's one number we really want to share with you. Together, we’ve collected and donated €4,778 to the Against Malaria Foundation in 2025. 💛

This is a great achievement. We are very grateful that you use our donation chechbox at checkout so frequently!

It might sound weird, but we don't have any plans to bake AI into @getkirby.com We are well aware that a significant part of our customers would not appreciate forcing AI upon them. And we respect that.

What's new in v5.2? We've managed to achieve better performance for our Panel forms, especially for setups with deeply nested fields. Running views for all our fields (of course a very theoretical scenario), we achieved a reduction in time of almost 70%!

My deepest respect for @gargron.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gy for his work, and for his post about stepping down: blog.joinmastodon.org/2025/11/.

In my opinion, this post perfectly illustrates why Mastodon is what it is, and why I love the Fediverse so much.

China’s CO2 emissions have now been flat or falling for 18 months, starting in March 2024.

This trend continued in the third quarter of 2025, when emissions were unchanged year-on-year.

If this trend starts to move into sustained carbon emissions reduction it would be hugely significant.
