Today was a day of remembrance for the victims of the Holocaust. I’m reading a good autobiography that’s relevant. Martin Greenfield (born Maximilian Grünfeld) survived Auschwitz and Buchenwald as a teenager, and built a new life in the United States.

I finished up a basket I started in a class a couple of weeks ago. I think I’ll use hang it from the breast beam of my big loom, to toss shuttles, bobbins, etc. in. It’s about 10” across.

The military forced us out of our homes at gunpoint in 1942 because we were considered possibly disloyal Americans. They sent us to internment camps for four years.

History is repeating. Pay attention.
