thank you to @hoshizoralone.bsky.social for the excellent work she did on this Penny Polendina redesign I commissioned! It’s a hybridization of Penny’s canon vol 3 and vol 7 designs with one from FRWBY’s vol 7 rework, plus some xenoblade inspirations
A redesign of Penny Polendina, drawn by Lone. The design is predominantly based on the Fixing RWBY volume 7 redesign (by u/ModdedJoker on Reddit), with elements also borrowed from the designs used for her in canon, alongside design elements from Blades in Xenoblade 2. Her hair, as usual, is a bright ginger and quite long, reaching down to just above her hips. A pink bow-hairtie holds her hair back out of her face; said how has a green centerpiece. She’s wearing a frilly, short-sleeved, button-down blouse in a creme-white color, a black corset with gold accents, and a two-layer pencil skirt, the outer layer being a faded green which gets darker towards the bottom, and the inner layer being a neon green. The inner layer is visible through a triangular cutout in the top layer. She’s also wearing pitch black all-purpose boots and similarly dark socks, with the boots having laces in the same neon green as the under layer on her skirt or the center of her hair bow. Penny also has ether lines in neon green, running down her neck, over her shoulders, and onto her arms and hands, where they terminate in an outline of a circle on the backs of her hands. Similar ether lines run down the sides of her legs as well. She has a core crystal similarly shaped to an aegis core, too, but it is shorter vertically than those found on the aegises, fitting into a square instead of a rectangle. ( For the reason for that, you’ll all have to wait for the fanfic :p ) Her pose is confident and exuberant, one of her hands in a triumphant fist near her face, with the other spread out at her side; she also has a massive grin on her face!
