🧵Did you know there's no system to warn people with hearing impairments in 🇺🇦 about incoming missiles, drones, or artillery?

This shows: people with disabilities experience the war differently and deserve better support.

Was soll man wissen und worauf achten?🧵

The first article and Notes from the Field from our Special Issue with @politicsgenderj.bsky.social on #feministforeignpolicy is online now! @tonihaastrup.bsky.social @columbaachilleos.bsky.social

The first Notes looks at how FFP has influenced donor funding on peacebuilding:
Feminist foreign policies talk equality, but local feminist peacebuilders still face donor scepticism, unstable funding & political pushback.

Without structural change, FFPs risk perpetuating the problems they claim to solve.

Deutschlands feministische Außenpolitik ist Geschichte – was nun?

Erster Schritt: eine kritische und umfassende Bilanzierung. @karolinefaerber.bsky.social und ich schreiben in unserem Beitrag für die @taz.de, warum es eine Evaluation braucht.

In Germany, every single day a man tries to murder his wife or girlfriend. Every third day, he “succeeds”.

This is only the tip of the iceberg, so much gender-based violence remains unseen. And it will continue to get worse.
In an age where rapists like Donald Trump, Conor McGregor, and Andrew Tate are being celebrated as models of masculinity, we are going to see more domestic abuse, more violence against women and girls, and more violence against children, and more sexual assault.

If you are female, brace, brace.
When rapist Conor McGregor's bid for presidential nomination is universally rejected by Ireland's local authority councillors, can we expect a "freedom of speech" Trump tirade and Vance, Musk, Waltz, Hegseth, Leavitt assault against Ireland's democracy and values? Probably.

Fantastic new video by @simonoxfphys.com and a great example for thoughtful science communication.

The video left me feeling worried and empowered at the same time. I wish we had more communicators like Simon in the conflict studies crowd.
