The Minnesota Twins should have accepted the Red Sox offer at the deadline when Payton Tolle was in trade offers for Joe Ryan.

This offseason Boston is going to laugh if Minnesota wants Tolle.

Getting last night’s win against Alcantara was huge. Now, the Red Sox will face Cal Quantrill (5.09 ERA) and Janson Junk, a guy who struggles to miss bats (6.2 K/9).

The Boston bats should wake up over the next 2 days.

All the great Red Sox teams have been great at Fenway Park.

2004: 55-26
2007: 51-30
2013: 53-28
2018: 57-24

While I’m not comparing this year’s team to those 4 teams, the fact that the Red Sox are 37-21 at home is a sign that they are trending in the right direction.

The Aaron Judge injury should have an impact on the Red Sox: Buy at the deadline.

The AL is wide open. Go for it.

The Impact of the Judge Injury on the Red Sox
The sport took a major blow on Saturday when the New York Yankees announced that Aaron Judge is on the IL with a flexor strain of his UCL ligament in his throwing arm.

After facing 2 of the NL’s top teams, the Red Sox still are in possession of the final Wild Card spot.

The Colorado Rockies have been on my brain a lot recently. How can they be this bad in year 7 of their rebuild?

It’s time for them to get creative with some outside the box thinking.

Outside the Box Thinking for the Rockies
Colorado cannot act like all the other teams. Circumstances are different.

Since June 20th (25 games) Roman Anthony has the 6th best OBP (.434) in baseball.

I’m running out of praise for this kid. Incredible what he is doing, especially considering he is only 21 years-old.
July 21, 2025 at 12:30 PM
That’s a really gutsy win by the Red Sox. For a while it felt like, “Here we go again” but this team grinded this win out. They needed to avoid a sweep and got the job done.

Bregman and Crochet are difference makers.

Nobody has fewer RBI than Connor Wong’s 1 RBI (Min 100 ABs).

There hasn’t been a player with an RBI total of less than 2 since 2016 (Min 100 ABs), when the Orioles Caleb Joseph did not drive in a run.

Wong is 0-30 with RISP. Never seen anything like this.

Carlos Narváez is currently +3,500 to win the AL Rookie of the Year award according to FanDuel (6th best odds).

Narváez ranks 2nd in fWAR (2.8) among AL rookies. I feel like the Boston backstop is not getting the respect he deserves based on the first half he put together.

A great comeback win for the Red Sox. Wins like that make you start believing in this team.
July 11, 2025 at 1:31 AM
In this important 10 game stretch before the break, the Red Sox have set themselves up perfectly. A season high 4 games above .500 and playing their best baseball of the season.

Big series starting tomorrow vs Tampa Bay.

Since June 1st, Brayan Bello has thrown the 4th most innings in baseball. That is who I always thought Bello could be. Bello is just another example that it takes time for guys to really find their identity. We as fans want instant results and when they aren’t there, we panic.

Patience.

One of the best outings of Brayan Bello’s career.

Going into Washington and earning a sweep is exactly what this team needed to do. Now, they head home to play the worst team in the sport with an opportunity to really build some momentum.
July 6, 2025 at 8:48 PM
An ideal start to this important 10-game stretch leading up to the All-Star break.

Must continue to take advantage of subpar competition.
July 4, 2025 at 5:53 PM
There will be other important stretches for the Red Sox this season. But if the Red Sox do not capitalize on the next 10 games, they will certainly be selling at the deadline.

3 @ Washington
3 vs Colorado
4 vs Tampa Bay

7-3 is a must heading into the break, which would put the Red Sox 50-48.
July 4, 2025 at 12:47 PM
A disappointing loss. The Red Sox did not play winning baseball in the final 3 innings but I really think Alex Cora botched this game.
July 3, 2025 at 1:59 AM
That was a really good win by the Red Sox. I think if Cora could have drawn it up, it would have been that. Bello hands the ball off to Chapman and the rest of the pen is ready for tonight.
July 2, 2025 at 8:02 PM
Today feels like an important day for the Boston Red Sox. An opportunity for 2 wins against a beatable Reds team with 6 straight games coming up against the Nationals and Rockies.

If there ever was a time for the Sox to get back in the mix, it’s right now.
July 2, 2025 at 12:08 PM
A wild and wacky night at Fenway. That game had a bit of everything. Always good to see the bats wake up, especially in a Crochet start.
July 1, 2025 at 1:55 AM
The only reason I can tolerate Walker Buehler pitching is that I know Garrett Crochet follows.
