My girl Cassie, now a young cricket coach in training as part of a scholarship programme with the MCC Foundation.

A proud moment for me seeing her pay back to what she has benefitted so much from.

This Xmas, my daughter Rosie designed jigsaws fr her grandparents. Her own floral pattern, drawn lovingly with acrylic markers onto a plain jigsaw.

When just sitting upright is a struggle for her some days, the dedicated hours she poured into these are a wonderful testament to a beautiful soul.

A memory from #last100daysof2020poetry

A #poem, maybe even a #haiga, dedicated to my bestie for the last 30-odd years.

Today had almost perfect conditions for a sea swim at the Boat Strand, Carrickfinn. We joined a wonderful group of around 100 people as part of an event supported by the EU's PEACE plus programme for peace and reconciliation.

Lunchtime hobble to the Palm House in Belfast's botanic gardens. It would be a real treat, if only my feet weren't so painful 😣

A salutary tale I'm #verse.

How often do you get offered #poetry about Covid-induced #erectiledysfunction?

2025 draws to a close much as 2021 did. I remain endlessly proud of Rosie's persistent efforts to carry on despite #LongCovid.
The first term of her degree in fine art has gone OK. She is managing. There remain horrible periods of darkness...

An article about #cleanair in Northern Ireland schools. That's a rare thing!
Should the Northern Ireland government invest in rolling out air cleaners across schools to improve air quality?

Please take a moment to take part in this poll.
