I’m not done talking about Rosewater by Tade Thompson yet. 😂😂 if you want a really weird, unique, in depth alien book with a grumpy old MMC then pick this up ASAP. #bookreview #bookrecs #scifi

Weird, Slow burn Nigerian Alien Sci-fi

This really flipped me on my head. Kaaro, the moody, psychic, slightly sex obsessed MMC gets roped into a job for the government to contact the xenomorph aliens that have landed in Rosewater. The world building🤯 the sass😂

You know the way we (Black creators) just forced you to look at Oathbound non stop for a month before launch? I want to do that for Black & brown indies more regularly. If you want to help, join my discord. We’ll vote every few weeks on our next book to boost together. discord.gg/5Ze4eJMGxF

One of my biggest goals for the next few years is to really demonstrate that publishing can be done in community. Publishers don’t have to chew authors up & spit them out. Which is why I keep inviting you to come along. For what I’m plotting, I need lots of help. 😈

It’s the end of the world. All the food is dying. A Chef who can’t taste anything anymore gets hired by a billionaire on a mountain to cook for him and his 1%. Seductive prose, apocalyptic vibes. Broken FMC who’s also gayyyyy #currentread #bookrecs #saphicbooks

We all have #authors we will not accept criticism on. Kazuo Ishiguro is one of those for me. 😅 you gotta sip his novels not chug them #bookish #bookishthoughts #scifibooks

In January I devoured The Poppy War trilogy in a week. Then, hungered for a series that would make me feel this way again all year. This was the first physical book I picked up in 5 years, since I had my kid. If you haven’t read this series already, do it. It altered me. #2024bookshelf

There wasn't a reading challenge for diverse fairytale retellings and inspired works on @thestorygraph.com, so I made one! After a week+ of finding as many books repping marginalized voices I could, it comes in at ~400 books! Get y'all's TBRs out 😏💙📚 #booksky

Just finished “A school for good mothers” by Jessamine Chan. I’m still staring at the wall. I don’t think I’ve haven’t felt this much rage and sorrow from a book in months. I loved it. I hated it. I cried, I threw it across the room….processing.
