Interesting how the Meta no post protest has been timed for the week after the inauguration. It's almost as though they don't want any left wing rhetoric shared on there...

The combination of Tiktok being banned in the US and the inauguration being in the same week makes everything feel pretty tragic right now. I'm sorry my US family, I hope it's easier for you than it is for us looking in.

Can't be here without whinging about facebook. None of this is new. Everyone who has reported anything on fb over the last year will tell you the bot says it's fine. I think it's about profits - mods cost money and he actually can't be arsed. It's just politically safe for him to tell you that now.

So I didn't really engage in this one... maybe I've become too set in my ways to learn more platforms.
I do miss the days when social media was social. I don't like the desperate scramble for likes and followers etc. I like finding new fun people to interact with rather than to market at.
