Since the aurora borealis will be dancing across the skies tonight (and some last night too), let's take a moment to celebrate this stunning natural phenomenon with some art featuring it!

Oh look! I made some snowflake ornaments for this holiday season! ❄️They look so beautifully delicate and the vellum looks gorgeous with the lights shining through!
.
These laser cut edition snowflakes are now available! I will also have them at my booth for Seattle Geek Craft Expo Holiday Market!

Here's a throwback to "Wyrm's Rest"!

I wish I could offer this and other 8x10" pieces as laser cut editions, but I haven't been able to find a reliable source for frames in that size that are deep enough.

Jeff Doyle is our next guest artist for November-December! Jeff is a PNW landscape photographer and the images he captures are absolutely breathtaking and dreamy!
We will be hosting an Opening Reception this Saturday, November 8th from 1-7pm in conjunction with Georgetown Art Attack. It's worth it!

The studio is in a bit of a state this week and won't be open since I'm getting some work done on it for some long dreamed of upgrades!

Some calm and a place to take solace. Sometimes you just need a walk in the woods to find something magical.

I made a little reveal video showing off some of the details and sheer scale of "Doomfish"! I'm still very proud of how this piece turned out. What do you think?

The real world feels way too scary right now on its own, so let's keep breaking up the feed with more art. This time with a spooky season vibe.

The first three main layers of this deeply personal and dark piece are completed. I've had a lot of feelings leading up to and during the creation process. There are 6 more layers to go before assembly, not including a number of sub-layers, so I'll be sitting with this piece for a while longer yet.😅

Let's put some more art out into the world and folks' feeds with another throwback to one of my literature inspired pieces. This one is based on "Le Petit Prince". I, too, feel like I just want to fly away from the current world at times. Do you have any comfort stories you keep going back to?

Throwback to "The Old Ways". This was my first large format piece at 18x24". I would love the chance to explore a mangrove forest at some point. The contrast between warm and cool colors in the lights is also wonderfully striking.

I'm working on the third main layer of this piece and it's proving to be rather complex with some additional direct layering work. Just look at the tiny details in the skulls! I did this to me. 😅

Skullz. 💀 Lots of 'em for the new piece I've been working on.

Trying to drown out the constant bombardment on our mental psyches with beautiful art. It's not much, but I hope it brings some peace and a break from *gestures to everything*👐

When things feel topsy turvy, I do my best to hold on to something solid to help ground myself, be it something physical, a goal, or principal.

The last three gold foil prints of the Mythological Equine series (Hippocampus, Kelpie, and Thunder Horse) are finally done! Individual prints and full sets of the series are available! It took so long and a ton of work documenting and editing, but I'm so happy and proud that it is finally complete.

Speechless and A Glorious Dawn will be on display at The Fishbowl gallery in Seattle for their September group show, Ephemerality! I adore how these two pieces are especially transformative depending on the lighting conditions. I feel so honored to be a part of the show.

I've been making and restocking laser cut editions recently, and Maggie has been a delightful little helper!

OMG! Roots won Judges' Choice Best in Show at Seattle World Con this last week! I'm absolutely floored and so grateful to everyone for all of your love and support. The Art Show was jam packed with absolutely incredible artists, and I feel so honored that I got to show my work alongside them.
