conspiracy theory: Sometime in March i believe, i read an article about Gina Rinehart and Peter Dutton butting heads enough that Gina didn't want to support him anymore. Since then there's been a total collapse of Dutton's campaign. I wonder if it would be smooth sailing if Gina had stuck around

i'm going to be so curious about how the minor parties fair this election. Part of me hopes that Australians are naturally turned off by having some of these messages jammed down their throats constantly

I keep seeing people repeat "don't you want dental on medicare" and yes i do want dental on medicare but i'm also unfortunately educated about why this isn't possible, even within 5 years.

I keep seeing people repeat "don't you want dental on medicare" and yes i do want dental on medicare but i'm also unfortunately educated about why this isn't possible, even within 5 years.
i don't really believe the average person in Australia genuinely believes that the profits from resources should stay in the hands of a few lucky individuals/companies. I do believe that the average person doesn't want their house to lose value at all.

i genuinely just reject any discussion on housing that doesn't involve the heart of the issue: over 60% of Australians are owner occupiers who are financially invested in their house going up in value. I want to know how we can change their minds and how we will convince them of financial security

International students are much more likely to live in dedicated student accommodation than local students. If the Universities wanted to they could build subsidised student accommodation on their real estate investments they all do in prime locations.

it's obviously far too early to question the missteps of Dutton's campaign because anything can truly happen but you have to wonder why the Liberal party advisors believed that just not being Labor/Albo would be enough to get them through

Michaelia Cash saying that Dutton will deliver the same attitude as Trump to Australia. That personally doesn't feel like a winning strategy. I'm curious if they know something I don't because I wouldn't be so open about this at the start of an administration that could quickly dissolve into chaos
